The Falls has a brand new restaurant on the block and they're catered for a variety of taste buds, even if they're primarily a Mediterranean spot. KBab is a fast-casual spot that offers Mediterranean sandwiches & platters in four styles: Greek, Lebanese, American, and Mexican.
Overall, this is fantastic for the people who don't know what they want to eat. There are chicken, beef, vegetarian options AND you can get the same protein/veggies in different styles from all over the world. Personally, I think the Greek plates were the best. Everything tasted fresh but the sauces and spices on the Greek platters were my favorite. Go for the Mexican if you want super spicy food items. Go for the American ones for good BBQ sauce and the tried & true that you already know.
It doesn't matter what you order, just make sure to get an order of Falafels, Empanadas and Cheese Rolls. The Falafels are small enough that you can just dunk them in the sauce like fries and pop them in your mouth. The dough on the Empanadas was SO SOFT I felt like I was eating a pillow with some meat inside. The Cheese Rolls have the perfect crispy outside and the gooey melted goodness inside.
They offer sandwiches and platters that range in both beef and chicken. As I mentioned before, the Mexican items are more for those who like spicy but don't get it twisted - the Greek and Lebanese platters have a ton of spices that really bring out the flavor of the meat. The Greek gyro might've been my favorite one!
If you're someone who wishes salads actually filled you up, you might have just met your match. The salads are not only HUGE in portion, but are really filled with protein, veggies, and delicious sauces. The Mexican salad had giant slices of avocado (and I probably could've just eaten that alone). The Lebanese was the smallest one and the most green-y one; definitely a salad I never had before.
Now, let's talk dessert. I'm all for trying things I've never had before and KBab DELIVERED. The Custard might've been orange but it tasted like Vanilla Pudding. Sweet and easy to eat. The Mhalabiye was the better one in my opinion because it really was something different that I never had before. It is a Middle Eastern-style pudding that is scented with rose water and cardamom and topped with nuts for a rich and creamy dessert. Helloooooo texture!
Overall, KBab is great for a quick lunch or dinner. Since their concept is fast-casual instead of sit-and-dine, it's easy to pick your food and easily take it in the plastic containers. The plastic actually reseals well so you can eat your leftovers as second lunch (don't worry, I won't tell anyone).
