Quarantine has made things weird but one thing is for sure: restaurants really should use their outside space more often. La Fontana Ristorante's terrace is beautiful and with their new breakfast menu, it's actually enjoyable (before the heat really kicks in!)
All tables are separated and, if you go early enough, it's virtually empty. Besides all the foliage and open space, they also have a huge screen with the latest cooking show and music that'll set you in the mood. Preparing for Miami's heat, there are also many fans around so that you can stay cool, even outside on the terrace.
Located in Doral, La Fontana Ristorante offers a variety of items on their menu that you know and love - plus some surprises. Their Butcher's Block Charcuterie Board can easily satisfy your whole table; it's so beautifully plated, you're going to have to take a picture of it first.
I ordered the Nutella Mocachino and ended up using a spoon to make sure I got ALLLL the Nutella from the bottom of the cup (yes... I'm that person). Their Fruit Salad not only tastes fresh but also has a sweet glaze over it that tastes like a Jolly Rancher. I am a huge fan!
If you're looking for a plate that's easy on the eyes, get the Eggs Benedict with homemade Hollandaise sauce so you can easily make some yolk porn out of it. I always have trouble taking those videos, but for the first time, I successfully did it! With a side of potatoes, you'll have an amazing breakfast that'll keep you full for a long time.
What I liked the most was their portion sizes. We also ordered a side of Smoked Salmon and there was enough salmon to go around, and then some. You might have to order another stomach to fully finish your meal, but still #worthit.
I would definitely recommend this place as a cute breakfast date spot or a place to catch up with your friends. Come hungry, don't forget to stay six feet apart, and to enjoy your breakfast!
