Skin Care Update

It's a no-brainer that it's hot as balls here in Miami and as someone with oily skin, it can be a bit tough to go outside and not look like I'm a sweaty mess. I did a fun IGTV a while back about the products I'm using and so, here's an update!

Cleanser: Glycolic Cleansing Foam from Nola SkinSentials

This is easily my favorite part of my skincare routine because if I can leave my face feeling like this all day long, I would. It CLEANS DUDEEEE. It's great for bumpy skin, pores, oily skin by gently sloughing away old, dead cells without being harsh on your skin.

Use: Twice a day, morning & night

Toner: Witches Brew from Nola SkinSentials

After cleansing, I use this toner on a cotton ball to make sure all the gunk is out and my PhD is balanced. You can also spray it on your face like you're in a commercial. Like the cleanser, it feels great. It has witch hazel, aloe vera, and sage that is perfect for oily skin and blemishes.

Use: Twice a day, morning & night

Serum: Advanced Night Repair from Estee Lauder

I received this product complimentary from Influenster and it really does wonders. My skin doesn't feel oily and, my skin does feel firmer. I usually use the Brightening-C Serum from Nola SkinSentials but it didn't drive me as crazy as their other products. I have a weird relationship with serums because my face will be shiny after and I miss the feeling from after washing my face where I'm all clean. It's a love/hate relationship.

Use: Sometimes in the morning, always at night

Eye Cream: SOS?

I have yet to find an eye cream that actually de-puffs my eye. I used the Brightening Eye Cream – Hydrate & Depuff from Sephora for about a month and it felt like a waste of cream. It did nothing. I've been using the Retinol Eye Cream 2.5% from Yeouth Boosted w/ Retinol Hyaluronic Acid and it also feels like I'm putting on a cream for nothing. I'm on Week 3 of using this one so I'll keep using it. Perhaps it needs more time to do its magic.

Use: Twice a day, Morning & Night

Moisturizer: Hyaluronic H2O Créme from Nola SkinSentials

I use a thin layer of moisturizer to make sure I don't over-use products on my skin. It feels nice and smells fresh. Like it's making sure everything stays put underneath it.

Before, I had used the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel and also really liked it! I would recommend both.

Use: Twice a day, Morning & Night

Mask: Charcoal Clay Mask from Nola SkinSentials

This mask literally revives me once a week. Sometimes I'll use it twice a week because it makes my skin feel NEW. I read that you shouldn't leave your mask to harden on your skin so I will wash my face, apply toner, and then put on the mask. I'll take a shower, take the mask off in there and keep going with my skin routine. Its ingredients include charcoal, tea tree oil, aloe, pure clays and natural oils to battle impurities deep in your pores without stripping your skin’s natural moisture barrier. The mask is perfect for oily skin and clogged pores.

Use: 1-2 times a week

Lotion: Miami Beach Bum + Body Cream from the Miami Beach Bum

Let's start off with: it smells delicious. While specifically for any acne or rashes you may have on your bum, I use it all over my legs and arms too. It's soft enough to leave you feeling great and you smell like mint!

More than anything, we love supporting local! This product was born right here in Miami out of the idea of how to get rid of rashes from going in the water too much.

Use: Every day, especially after the shower.

Body Scrub: J's Organics

This smells AMAZING! Wet your skin first, spread the scrub, wash it off. Instantly, your skin is going to be super soft. Thank me later and go #supportlocal. You can order a body scrub, lip scrub, and her other products on her IG Link In Bio or find her on Etsy. Either way, you're going to thank me later.

Use: 1-2 a week
